Magnolia curbs have been installed backfilling of curbs to begin mid July.
Fire hydrant restoration program has been started. All hydrants being sandblasted to bare metal primed and painted new colors silver
Village sewer cleaning of the main sewer lines will begin in August. Please leave toilet lids closed when not in use beware sounds and
splash back in toilets and drains might be experienced this is normal.
Resurfacing of the presidential streets and Maple Ave., has been awarded the contract to Karvo which is a 1.3 million dollar contract
and the work is to begin in August.
Village road crack filling program to begin late August into September.
Village tree ordinance: Property owners be advised that over grown , untrimmed, dead or diseased trees must be maintained or removed.
1490.065 TREES AND SHRUBS.
(a) Trees and shrubs on residential property shall be maintained in living condition and free of disease.
(b) Trees and shrubs that are dead, diseased, or have fallen shall be removed from the property.
(c) Trees or shrubs that are in such condition that they are causing damage to or posing a danger to any structure on the property on which they are situated or causing damage or posing a danger to any neighboring property, shall be removed or trimmed so as to reasonably abate the damaging or dangerous condition.
(d) Trees and shrubs that are overgrown and untrimmed shall be cut back and trimmed so as not to be unsightly or cause a nuisance to the property on which they are located or neighboring properties. (Ord. 2014-52. Passed 10-8-14.)
Rental property inspection: Don't forget if you own a rental property in the Village you MUST register your rental property yearly by May 1st. $100 fee, after May 1st is $150. See
the Village website for Rental Property Application and full ordinance.
1446.01 RENTAL CERTIFICATE.
No single-family residential dwelling structure shall be rented or presently occupied under a
rental agreement, whether written or oral, unless the Building and Zoning Inspector has issued to the owner or authorized agent of the property owner, a rental certificate and exterior inspection rental certificate. Rental certificates shall be effective until June 30 of the year after the year in which the rental certificate is issued.
